Denise started her supervising career as a clinician in group therapy, leading sessions with 5-7 patients at a time, before going on to mentor Associates one-on-one. She is EMDRIA trained in EMDR and Gottman trained, using Emotionally Focused Therapy in individual, couple, and psychodynamic group therapy. Denise specializes in treating addiction and addictive compulsive behaviors, PTSD/trauma care, Bi-polar Disorder and other mood disorders, and encourages Associates interested in an emphasis in these fields to reach out to her for supervision and mentorship.

Like her work as a clinician, Denise practices psychodynamic integrative supervision, believing that a strong bond with her mentees and an environment that encourages uncomfortable conversations are essential for maximizing learning. She understands that training therapists may face personal obstacles and have questions as they navigate their therapy sessions, which is why it’s vital for them to have a trusted supervisor to discuss emotional triggers, create treatment plans, and provide comprehensive care to clients.
